Westward Bound with the Zamirowski's!

Road trips are one of the Zamirowski's favorite things to do. In June of 2014, we planned a much longer trip than usual. Traveling over 2000 miles from Chicago to Yellowstone with a number of stops along the way, we managed to view beautiful Sioux City Falls, the Badlands, and let's not forget the Spam Museum! It may sound corny, but the Spam Museum was very entertaining and informative. Who knew all their uses and history!

Laura Ingalls Wilder's Homestead was a bit out of the way...actually about 2 hours! Having read the books and watched the TV series many years ago, it was one side trip I didn't want to miss. Riding in a carriage and visiting her old schoolhouse was fun.

Butch Cassidy even beckoned to us as we toured the Wyoming Penitential Prison.

I have to admit the Badlands were a bit dull in color for me. Justin says that it should have been raining because it becomes more colorful. The geographical aspects of it, however, were very fascinating.

Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons were the height of our trip! We saw so much wildlife! Justin says that I bring out the animals, not to mention the panoramic views and seeing the devastation of previous forest fires and where the park was beginning to come back. Yellowstone is one of Justin's favorite fly fishing spots. He didn't fish there during this trip, but he did manage to fish a bit in Viroqua, WI.

On the way home, we stopped off in the Denver area to visit with our nieces and nephew and had an interesting mining adventure!

This was an incredible road trip and has me wanting to plan another! Time to get my calendar out and see where we can fit one in!

Happy Travels! Now take a peek at "Westward Bound with the Zamirowski's" and enjoy the view!
